Born in France, Marie Besson has been painting since childhood and has been addicted to art ever since.

Marie’s art depicts human connection, women's health, the interconnectedness of the Universe, and sacred energy.

In fact, Marie's own sacred energy, her essence, is reflected in each piece she creates, developing an ethereal bond between the art, the artist, and the viewer.

"Universe is Calling" is a series of mixed media pieces, skillfully rendered with acrylics and gloss medium on premium quality black paper. The creative process unfolds as I expertly employ spatulas, embracing the sensation of the acrylics blending with the medium, merging seamlessly onto the paper. This series is intended to be a diptych but each piece is also sold separately, giving the viewer a chance to engage with individual elements.

The overarching theme of "Universe is Calling" reflects upon the creation and the concept of quantum - the minute intricacies within our cells that connect to the vastness of the Universe. This series interrogates infinity, life in all its forms, and our place within the cosmos. It's an exploration into the human condition and our connection to the Universe; recognizing how celestial movements influence Earth in a multitude of ways and how our cells respond to these universal influences.

"Nebula" unveils the genesis of a constellation, showcasing a flow of potent energy that underscores the initial stages of star formation.

"Birth" visualizes the intimate moment of connection between two elements, encapsulating their union and the beginning of conception. Through these works, we're reminded of the symbiotic relationship between the micro and macro, the cellular and celestial, the human and the infinite universe.
